About

I live in the New Forest with my Partner, affectionately known as ‘The Bird’. We have a nice house in a quiet village between Lymington and New Milton. We moved here in 2006 from Bournemouth after making a decision that the town was getting too disruptive and noisy.

We are pretty much an ordinary couple doing ordinary jobs and living ordinary lives. And much like other ordinary people we have interests and hobbies. The Bird likes her Genealogy, web surfing and gardening. I too have a range of interests from photography, gadgets, classical music and the like.

When we first met, at the turn of century as I always jest, we found we had a lot in common and though we come from different educational backgrounds we hit it off, so to speak. We enjoy watching the same programs on TV and more or less have the same likes and dislikes.

Around 2001 we started to watch John Edward on Living TV with intrigue. At first we were very sceptical and thought the guy was a con-man. I am, however, very much more open minded than the Bird and couldnt help but consider the possibilities that he might be genuine.

My Mother had always been a firm believer in the supernatural and I too had always thought there was something else out there. A combination of circumstances and lifestyle combined with my own maturity level meant that this area of belief was suppressed. Like other ordinary people I had not made room for belief in what I now know as spirituality.

John was spellbinding to watch and because he had a wonderfully friendly open face and charming personality it kept both of us tuning in on a regular basis until eventually it became a nightly ‘must-watch’. We bought and read his books and I started to become truly fascinated by this art.

Around that period of time another Medium started to appear on TV. An oddly ordinary fella in England called Colin Fry. Though he lacked the skills with the camera that John had developed he was none the less compulsive viewing to our new found interest.

Each night we would watch either John or Colin perform on TV. I searched for Colin on the internet and found from his site that he was visiting Bournemouth at the BIC to perform. I booked us both tickets and we soon sat in the audience as he performed.

In September 2007 we were shopping for reading books for our coming holiday in Portugal when I found a book called ‘Developing Your Psychic Skills” by . . . . . . . . . .. This book soon proved to be the turning point for my personal beliefs. From being an observer of this subject I suddenly found myself wanting to explore it further and started reading more and more.

As I write this summary in April 2008 I am excited about my future more than ever before. Someone very successful once told me that you will become what you associate with most of the time and that if you study something for 5 years or longer you will become an expert. I am at the beginning of that journey and loving every minute of it.

I am still just an ordinary person with an ordinary life living it in an ordinary way. But I have an open mind and a keenness to learn. A closed mind is as much use as a closed parachute. It is okay to be sceptical, believe me I am. But keep your mind open to possibilities and even if that seems to hard to do then always finish with this one though . . .

“What if.”
